Anderson v1 pg271 - letter #257

Here, dear Streicher, are the letters which I am letting you see so as to avoid any further formalities – But I do ask you to ensure that the instruments do not wear out so quickly – You have seen your instrument which I have here and you must admit that it is very worn out; and I frequently hear the same opinion expressed by other people – You know that my sole object is to promote the production of good instruments.  That is all.  Otherwise I am absolutely impartial.  Hence you must not be annoyed at hearing the truth from

Your most devoted servant and friend

Please bring back with you the letters and the price-list.

NB.  If possible come to me tomorrow.  From ten o’clock until twelve you will certainly find me at home.
